Yéle Haiti has pulled together a group of like minded organizations and first responders in order to help coordinate the delivery of emergency services and materials needed by victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Each or the organizations will undertake their own fundraising and on-the-ground operations, but have agreed to share resources, collaborate when it makes sense and avoid duplication.

The members of this new Haiti Earthquake Alliance are:
Yele Org

· Yéle Haiti

· AmeriCares

· Friends of the World Food Program

· ONExONE Foundation

· Pan American Development Foundation

· Airline Ambassadors

· The Belinda Stronach Foundation

Just formed in the last day, the Alliance has already pulled together four airlifts of medical supplies, food and other emergency supplies – along with teams of doctors. These airlifts will go out beginning Saturday. Keep checking back to this website for details.

Some medical health care providers will authorize 1 to 3 hair replacements units per year. Ask your health care provider how many they will approve. Also, some health care providers will allow hair replacements yearly, but remember; a doctor’s prescription must always accompany your claim for a hair replacement.

With HMO’s and all new provisions some medical health care providers are turning towards, it is a good idea to call your health care provider to see if you need pre-approval from your primary care doctor.

Never file an insurance claim for a WIG! Always call it a “full CRANIAL PROSTHESIS”. Many, but not all, insurance companies attempt efforts to turn down claims for “wigs”. They should have no reason to turn down a file for a full cranial prosthesis or cranial prosthesis when it accompanies medical therapy and your doctor’s prescription. Invoices for the replacement must accompany your doctor’s prescription. Make copies of all invoices and prescriptions.

Your doctor should give you a prescription for “full cranial prosthesis”. Save this and send a copy along with your claim file.

Your emotional well-being is an important part of your medical recovery process. If you encounter resistance from your insurance company, a letter from your doctor, spelling out that he “prescribed” the prosthesis, not for cosmetic reasons, but as part of your recovery program, should suffice.

If you are still denied ask for a review by the medical review board. Add to your original claim:

The Cancer Fairy Godmother has been asked : ” Can you help me find work-at-home jobs”? Searching for 2nd and 3rd shift jobs as well as trying to find full/part-time employment is like finding a needle in a haystack these days. Unfortunately, there are thousands of individuals looking day and night for suitable jobs in their area just to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads.

So, I ‘ve done some research to assist you in your request for help.

First of all let me say that you must be wise and avoid being scammed. There are many predators out there who prey on those who are in need or desperate for a job. The good news is that you can easily check out any website or email that you receive to see if it legitimate by going to: http://www.bbb.org/library. This is the Better Business Bureau’s site and here you fill find valuable information to avoid becoming a victim of these scam artists.

Under no circumstance should you send MONEY, BANK ACCOUNT NUMBERS, OR YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER unless you know exactly who you are dealing with and well into the hiring process.

The below sites specialize in outsourced call center jobs. They pay generally $14-$17 an hour. Before signing up with any of these sites read the fine print.

Outsourced Call Center Jobs:

http://www.arise.com

http://www.alpineacess.com

http://www.workingsolutions.com

http://www.westathome.com

Job Boards are sites that charge a fee for access to their listings such as http://www.virtualassistant.com and http://www.tjobs.com.

The Pro’s of the above job board sites is that you don’t have to go through many postings to find jobs that are geared toward home workers and there are fewer scam listings. The disadvantage to some might be paying right now for the job information. If you are up to the challenge you can usually find the same job s on free job boards which might take you some to to locate. Either way its up to you to figure out which method is best to pursue.

A free job board site which acts as a staffing service and post a detailed profile is http://www.momcorps.com. You pay around $9.95 a month and suddenly your profile is among the many that employers see.

Virtual Sites like http://www.elance.com, http://www.odesk.com and http://www.guru.com help freelancers who have specialized skills. At these sites you also bid on the jobs.

Another work-at-home site is http://www.vipdesk.com which hires virtual personal assistants for clients. The hourly pay can range anywhere from $14-20 dollars or more. The requirements for this site
is that you must submit a resume, and writing sample, agree to a background and credit check, interview by phone twice, train for ten days, provide references, and be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Just for good measure try http://www.indeed.com and http://www.simplyhire.com. These two are what you call aggregator sites. They are both quite good.

I hope this information has been helpful. Good luck in finding work-at-home jobs.
