Uninsured or underinsured breast cancer patients who’ve had a mastectomy or lumpectomy can benefit from a an event next week intended to help relieve some of the financial stress.
On Wednesday, April 29, from 10 a.m to 3 p.m., the non-profit group “Small Pearls of Hope” will team up with “Close To You,” to provide free fittings for protheses, bras and forms for people who’ve had a mastectomy or lumpectomy.
They had a similar event in March, but only a few people took advantage of the opportunity and they want to help as many people as possible.
The event will happen at the Cancer Resource Center at Medical City Hospital in Dallas. If you are interested in attending, they ask that you RSVP in advance.

Hi! My mom is a breast cancer patient, she got her left breast removed and the good thing is that she is cancer free. But the problem she is facing after the surgery is to look the same. She is very concious of her looks. Specialy her breast and her hair. I wanted to know is there a place in new York or new jersey from where I can get her the special bras made for such patients and what can she Do for her hair which have grown back but not the same they are much thinner.
